Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 grated onion
- 1 thinly sliced celery stalk
- 3 finely minced garlic cloves
- 4 lb beef brisket
- 1 thinly sliced onion
Preparation (instructions)
- Preheat oven to 325 degree F.
- To make marinade, mix well all ingredients except beef and sliced onion in a sealable bag.
- Then add in beef, seal and chill in refrigerator for 3 1/2 hours.
- Remove beef and place on a roasting pan.
- Arrange sliced onions around and pour 1/2 the amount of marinade.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours.
- At 1 1/2 hours, add more marinade and continue to bake until cooking time completed.
- Allow beef to rest for 10 minutes before carving.
