Wine marinated brisket recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 thinly sliced celery stalk
  • 3 finely minced garlic cloves
  • 4 lb beef brisket
  • 1 thinly sliced onion

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degree F.
  2. To make marinade, mix well all ingredients except beef and sliced onion in a sealable bag.
  3. Then add in beef, seal and chill in refrigerator for 3 1/2 hours.
  4. Remove beef and place on a roasting pan.
  5. Arrange sliced onions around and pour 1/2 the amount of marinade.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours.
  7. At 1 1/2 hours, add more marinade and continue to bake until cooking time completed.
  8. Allow beef to rest for 10 minutes before carving.
