Crockpot Mulled cider

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 qt cider
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon whole allspice 1 dash ground nutmeg
  • orange slices

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Combine cider, sugar and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Tie spices in cheese cloth and add to cider mixture.
  3. Slowly bring to boil.
  4. Cover and simmer for about 25 minutes.
  5. Remove spices.
  6. Serve hot with orange slices in preheated clay mugs.
