Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon unbleached flour
4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
3 cloves
granulated white sugar to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- whipped cream
4 cinnamon sticks
Preparation (instructions)
- Combine cocoa and flour in a saucepan.
- Stir in brown milk, sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
- Heat just to boiling over medium heat with constant stirring.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and remove cinnamon and cloves.
- Add sugar and vanilla.
- Whisk with a hand mixer until foamy.
- Pour into cups.
- Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks.
