Appetizing chicken salad

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 lb 2oz diced red apples
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 5 fl oz mayonnaise
  • 3 oz chopped walnuts
  • 1 thinly sliced bunch of celery
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 4 sliced shallots
  • 1 lb 2oz cubed skinless lean cooked chicken
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. Put the diced apple in a bowl with lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise.
  2. Cover with cling film and set aside for 35 minutes.
  3. Add the walnuts, celery, garlic, shallots to the apple and mix well with the remaining mayonnaise.
  4. Add chicken and mix well.
  5. Season well with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately.
