Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 galia melons
  • 4 oz green seedless grapes
  • 1 star fruit
  • 2 kiwi fruit
  • 1 green dessert apple
  • 1 lime
  • 6 fl oz sparkling grape juice or champagne

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cut the melons in half and scoop out the seeds. Scoop out the fruit with a melon baller.
  2. Remove any stems from the grapes and peel.
  3. Thinly slice the star fruit and kiwi.
  4. Core and thinly slice the apple.
  5. Mix all the fruits together in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Thinly pare the zest from the lime and cut into fine strips.
  7. Blanch the strips in boiling water for 8 seconds, drain and rinse in cold water.
  8. Squeeze the juice from the lime, and toss gently into the fruit mix.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  10. Just before serving, drizzle sparkling grape juice or champagne over the fruit and scatter it with the lime zest.
