Easy layered salad

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1/4 head Iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup bacon pieces
  • 1/2 finely chopped small onion
  • 5 oz thawed frozen peas
  • 2 chopped celery ribs
  • 1 peeled and shredded carrot
  • 1/2 medium chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup croutons

Cooking Instructions

  1. Place the lettuce at the bottom of a deep baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle bacon pieces on top of it.
  3. Layer remaining vegetables and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Mix mayonnaise and sugar in a separate bowl.
  5. Spread the salad dressing over the top of salad.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Toss and add croutons on top of it just before serving.
