Simple tomato basil soup

creamy and rich tomato basil soup

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 14 oz chicken broth
  • 18 minced fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup butter

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the tomatoes and broth to boil.
  2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add basil and sugar.
  4. Reduce heat to low, stir in cream and butter.
  5. Cook until butter is melted.
  6. Serve while still warm.
